ThinkPad T42 access connections?
I have a ThinkPad T42 laptop and i am trying to connect to my wireless. When it's unencrypted it connects fine but when i put a wpa key on my router access connections won't ask for the key it just won't connect. I live near a coffee shop with pay for wifi so i can't leave it unencrypted. Thanks.
If you are keeping the same SSID then Access Connections will try to use the existing profile, which will fail.
Either give your router a new SSID, so that it looks new to Access Connections, or open up Access Connections and edit the profile.
Also for WPA there are several options on the encryption type. Make sure you have these the same between the router and the Access Connections settings.
