why is my recharger doesn't charge my laptop please someone help me?

will i have change the fuse and not that so don't know whats worng with it
my fuse does work but does any know where i can cheap recharge for my laptop
my fuse does work and it does go hot the ac adapter.
It's probably the recharger. I actually JUST got done fixing this issue with my sister's Gateway laptop. I thought it was the battery at first, but after ordering her a new recharging pack, I realized it was indeed the charger. I got her one on ebay (new) and it was like $13. I would suggest you try maybe the fuse (as someone above mentioned) or also check Gateway's website and make sure neither your particular model's recharger or battery was recalled. After you've checked those out, you might just go order a new one through ebay for less than $20.
Oh---and I thought I should mention----the battery costs about $50 to replace....so if I were you, I would replace the charger first and see if that fixes it, as it's much cheaper. Then, if that doesn't work, you can look into getting a new battery (don't make the same mistake I made of dropping $50 on the battery first, then getting the charger later for much less when that didn't fix it).
