Ok, so me and my fiance both got laptops at around the same time that I did. I got an HP and he got a Dell. I have to be honest in saying that the Dell hasn't worked too well. He has had to format the Hard Drive twice, there was a problem with the screen, umm, it doesn't handle windows updates well, and the CD/DVD drive doesnt always work, and...The speakers downright suck lol. I know that doesn't directly answer your question, but I thought I should let you know before you buy. Good luck and do homework. On Bestbuy.com you can compare reviews of the different models and any problems people have had with them. I suggest getting different reviews period. Just google the types and make sure you add reviews to the search bar as well. Happy HUnting!
