New laptop with Vista Home, but it's all in Spanish.?
i just got a new laptop with Vista Home, started it up, and everything was in Spanish! then i noticed that the stickers on the side were it lists what parts (processor speed, HDD space, memory, etc..) are in the machine are also written in Spanish.
i've already in stalled SP1, and changed a few settings to "Inglés (Estados Unidos)" but the default language doesn't seem to change.
and no.... it didn't come with any type of recovery disk, but does have a partition for "Recovery ".
my question is obvious, how do i change the computer from Spanish to English?
remember, everything is in Spanish so if your answer includes going to certain files or folders, make sure to mention what the Spanish word(s) for it is... or screen shots would work
Thank you
i♥sf is on the right track, it is not just a click away and no Microsoft's Operating System (eg. Vista, XP, ME, 2000) software carries all languages. My father has a chinese XP but I can't change it back to english while I can't change my english XP to chinese. Good thing my father wants it chinese in the first place. However, you do not need to know Spanish to fix your problem. All you have to do is buy an english version of Vista Home. I am sorry but it is the only legit way. You just insert the disc and it should ask you if you wish to format the computer. The instructions should be in english but if not, you better ask for a refund from your seller. Once you hit format you will lose your current files but you will most definitely be safely returning to the land of english Vista.
