What do I need to get my notebook laptop to work everywhere (including the car or when your on vacation)?
I got a laptop on February 13 for my birthday. After I got it, I went home to set it up. After I finished setting it up, I tried to use the internet on several websites. But it kept saying "Diagnose Connection Problem" I asked my cousin why didn't it work but we where at a bar so I didn't understand him.So what do I need to make my notebook laptop work? But not just from home. Everywhere. I mean like in the car, at the store, in a restaurant, at Disney world,in another country and so fourth.
You need to get wireless service provided by your cell phone carrier.
Verizon has a service (Mobile Broadband) for around 40 bucks a month that basically is a USB adapter that plugs into your laptop (some laptops even have an internal card for verizon) and you install the software that came with the adapter.

And your pretty much set once you put in the username and password supplied from the carrier.
But thats the only way you can get it to work anywhere at all, otherwise you can connect to unsecured WiFi connections (but not everywhere) as well as secured WiFi connections that you have access to.
