What cable do i need for i can connect my laptop to my lcd tv?
I have a lg 40inch and i wanted to play movies from my laptop on my tv. What connection cable would i need?
Lets assume your laptop has USB, it should. I will list what you need in the end. The first thing is a USB to VGA adapter. This will allow you laptop to send video to your TV if it has a VGA port in the back. But now you need to handle sound. Use a stereo audio cable. Plug one end into the headphone jack on the laptop and the other into the audio input jack on the TV. Turn your TV to the PC input and you should be good to go.

Another option is to use a DVI cable. It carries sound and video. But a DVI to HDMI adapter must be bought too. You need to make sure your laptop has a DVI port before doing this. Turn your TV to HDMI and you should be up and running. There is no VGA to DVI or USB to DVI option. This way is a little less confusing than the first way, but it is limited to whether or not you have a DVI port.
