Does a firewire express card/34 get the same mbps as a built in ieee port (laptop)?
My laptop firewire port is bad, and the cheapest option for repair seems to be a firewire express card. Will I lose any speed in mbps?
There should be no loss in speed because the Express Card interface (x1 PCIe) is actually more than twice faster than Firewire 800.
