C400 - the laptop with NO FLOPPY NO CD. How in blazes do you install the OS ? I really need an adept in h/w?
Hiya Folks
I have a C400 10" Pup. No Cd . No Floppy. Just Hard Drive and Caddy.
I tried to Install Windows XP into a new partition after transplanting that HDD to a new PC and running sysprep tool to scratch off the PC ID. Plus I changed the registry to point to Dell's Drivers which I downloaded to a specified folder.
It goes past BIOS and then just hangs on a prompt

Is there ANYWAY I can install the OS on a HDD without the need for CD ROM or FDD.
I am sure there is some way to boot it to DOS by adding some core boot files there and then running the setup.
PL give a solution that Does NOT involve a Floppy drive cos I dont have one. I just have

No It WONT boot off anything except the HDD or some other special Dell CD or cable both of which I dont have . So only viable Boot - path - ---> HDD
