How do I connect my laptop to the internet?
I have a Westell versalink 327w router and an hp laptop with vista. Recently, I changed my hard drive and took it down to a store (BestBuy) where they restored everything to original settings. Now, I cannot connect get on to the internet with my laptop. I can view and connect to networks, but I can't web browse or perform software updates and related. I checked to see if my channel and dns stuff were the same and they were. Also, the green led light on my router that says "wireless" is blinking. Is there a certain router setting that I have to have it on or is it something wrong with the router? How can I get on to the internet?
i had this same problem! try running the wireless network diagnostics on vista! i think thats what helped me.
